Shot over three nights, the video documents an action on Donald Trump’s golf course in Southern California. As the artist traversed the golf landscape at dusk he dropped thousands of Mexican Fan Palm seeds. These trees, an iconic backdrop to the Los Angeles image, are actually indigenous to northern Mexico. The work is titled after a Caspar David Friedrich painting in the collection of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
