Claire Huss - TAILLE UNIQUE

TAILLE UNIQUE is a visual archive and personal exploration that celebrates the joy, flair, and fantasy of miniature fashion. Developed in collaboration with photographer Louis De Belle, the project features 28 Barbie garments captured against bold, vibrant backdrops — forming a playful dialogue of colour, texture, and shape.

“What began as an innocent purchase for my daughter quickly turned into a full-blown research obsession. Hours spent on Vinted, browsing Barbie clothes and carefully selecting the ones I felt most drawn to. Some sparked waves of childhood nostalgia, others fascinated me with their materials, audacious colours, and miniature precision of seams and stitching. All of them stirred a playful fantasy: what if these outfits existed in human size — and I could wear them?”

Claire Huss is an art director and graphic designer based in Paris. Since 2018 she runs her own studio in Paris working for international clients in the fields of design, lifestyle, culture, fashion and beauty. She regularly collaborates with artists and photographers on printed publications and exhibitions. Archives is Claire's third publication with Pharmacy Books following You, me & the volcano (2021) and Archives (2023).
